HUMAN ACCESS in Al-Mahra Governorate delivered a new shipment of medical supplies, along with materials for the renovation and rehabilitation of the obstetrics emergency department at Al-Ghaydah Central Hospital. This delivery is part of the Reproductive Health Services Support Project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The delivered materials included comprehensive painting supplies for the obstetrics emergency department, as well as the supply and installation of ceramic tiles, the renovation and rehabilitation of restrooms, and laboratory reagents. These supplies will contribute to improving the sanitary environment and enhancing the department's preparedness.
During the handover, the Director General of Al-Ghaydah Hospital, Mohsen Balhaf, praised the efforts of HUMAN ACCESS and the support offered by UNFPA to the hospital. He emphasized the importance of this support in improving the level of medical services provided, noting that these interventions will help strengthen the efficiency of the obstetrics emergency department.
For her part, the Director of Reproductive Health in Al-Mahra, Ms. Raeda Balhaf, stressed the importance of the reproductive health services support project, which contributes to reducing the risk of deaths among mothers and newborns, and improving the health of families, in light of a health system burdened by the ongoing conflict in Yemen.
