HUMAN ACCESS in Aden Governorate concluded its 16 Days of Activism campaign against gender-based violence with the first bazaar showcasing the products of 33 women who benefited from vocational training. This event was part of the activities of the project "Providing Livelihood Services for the Most Vulnerable Women and Girls in Yemen," funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The bazaar was held in the presence of Ms. Faiza Abdulmajid, Acting Undersecretary of the Social Development Sector at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, and Ms. Marina Al-Jubani, Programs and Cluster Officer at the UNFPA office. It represents an important step in supporting women's economic empowerment, providing them with a platform to display their skills and enabling them to achieve self-sufficiency.
The bazaar featured a variety of sections that reflected the skills acquired by the women participants, including: a sewing section, an incense section, a sweets and pastries section, a handicrafts section, a hairdressing and henna section, in addition to other sections such as an awareness section, a childhood section, and a questions and prizes section, which added great momentum and interaction among the attendees, who praised the bazaar and the efforts made to support and protect women.
