HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwa Governorate implemented two activities in Ataq city, serving 16 women, as part of the project to provide livelihood services for the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The first activity involved distributing livelihood grants to six women beneficiaries of vocational training in sewing and tailoring, and incense and perfume making. The beneficiaries received the basic supplies needed to start practicing their professions, helping them enter the labor market and enhance their self-reliance.
The second activity was the conclusion of a ten-day training course in concrete and resin art, targeting 10 women trainees. The trainees acquired traditional craft skills using simple tools and creativity to enhance their livelihoods and strengthen the resilience of conflict-affected communities.
