Funded by UNHCR and implemented through the HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate, the Civil Status and Civil Registry Office in Al-Rawdah district was launched as part of the Integrated Project for Infrastructure Development through Quick Impact Projects.
In the presence of Brigadier General Najib Al-Nasser, Assistant Director of Marib Security, and Mr. Shekelkam Shehu, Head of the UNHCR Office in Marib, the project was inaugurated. The project aims to facilitate access to services provided by the Civil Status Office, reduce overcrowding, streamline and improve work management, and expedite the issuance of official documents, which are essential for accessing vital services and rights.
The project included a range of support, such as providing equipment and furniture based on the requirements of the Civil Status Office in Al-Rawdah district, installing movable barriers to manage the flow of beneficiaries, partitioning one of the halls, and providing an external caravan to serve the hundreds of beneficiaries who use the office's services daily.
During the opening, the Civil Status and Civil Registry Department in Al-Rawda district honored the HUMAN ACCESS and UNHCR’s office in Marib, in appreciation and recognition of the positive efforts and effective contributions in developing the department, to serve the people and support obtaining identity documents as a human right and one of the necessities of public life.
