Funded by UNHCR and implemented through the HUMAN ACCESS association in Marib Governorate, an electricity rehabilitation project was launched in Al-Nuqai’a camp for IDPs in Al-Wadi District, as part of the integrated project activities to improve the lives of the most vulnerable displaced people.
The inauguration took place in the presence of representatives from the General Electricity Corporation and the Executive Unit for the Management of IDP Camps in Marib. This vital project aims to improve the electrical infrastructure in the camp, to serve 120 displaced families, and to reduce the risks resulting from random connections and unsafe wires.
The project involved extending a main electrical network, connecting it to the public electrical grid, and installing a voltage reducer to ensure the stability of the electrical current, in addition to providing a safe electrical supply to the beneficiary families. This project will maintain the continuity and improve the electricity service, which is considered a necessity of life.
