HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwa Governorate achieved several milestones in supporting, protecting, and empowering women during the last quarter of 2025. This was within the framework of the project to provide livelihood services to the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

In the area of vocational training, 54 women in Ataq city received training in sewing and tailoring, incense and perfume making, henna art, and concrete and resin art. This training, delivered according to high professional standards, prepares them to enter the job market, improves their living standards, and helps them achieve financial self-sufficiency for themselves and their families.

The efforts were not limited to vocational training, but extended to the delivery of livelihood grants, where tools for practicing the profession were offered to 6 women who benefited from training in the fields of sewing, and the manufacture of incense and perfumes, to help them to engage in the labor market, and to transform into productive families that can face the challenges and the deteriorating living conditions in the country.
